![]() ![]() Top the northwest of the dead animal you will find the Springberries. Once you've killed them, simply click on the corpses to get some Wolf Pelts. They will be pretty simple to defeat with Calisca, but it's always good to use any skills your character might have on the wolves and the Knock Down ability Calisca has just to be safe. There will be a Young Wolf to several Wolves here, depending on your difficulty level. Once you reach a torn down wall on your left side, go to the area behind it where you can see a dead animal to the north-west. Once you've searched all the loot in that area, simply follow the caravan trail that leads north. You'll find a Potion of Minor Endurance in the chest, which can be equipped from the inventory menu. There's also a chest that's locked, requiring 1 Lockpick (Heodan, a merchant, is selling some in the lower left corner of the campsite) and 0 Mechanics, or 1 Mechanics if your character has that. If you click on them, you can search them for some loot. If you hold Tab, you'll find various objects that are highlighted in blue. Once you start actually playing the game, you'll have control of Calisca and your character. He'll also warn you of Glanfathans, as there are some ruins nearby that are sacred to them, and that they will attack anyone who trespasses. When you try and leave, Odema will tell Calisca, the guide, to go with you so nothing bad happens, and he will also tell Sparfel, another person at the caravan, to get some water for you. ![]() Odema will say that everyone needs to stay there, however, that you will need to go out to get some Springberries since you're not feeling well. If an attack goes through, then you can lose hirelings, money, or lose upgrades to your stronghold.Once you've created your character in the character creation menu (more information here) you will be shown a small resting site filled with various people who were riding the caravan with you. A stronghold with high Security will repel most attacks. ![]() Attacks are similar, however, you will be warned ahead of time for an attack and take part in it directly if you wish. These are where your idle companions, if any, can go out to earn experience, wealth, and items, while the player is doing quests or bounties. Once the Great Hall is restored, adventures can sometimes become available. Some can be employed as hirelings and will stay as long as you pay them, and if visitors die during their stay, the stronghold will suffer a Prestige penalty for a short amount of time. You will often have visitors arrive at your stronghold, and each visitor adjusts your prestige/security by simple being there. Each class have different costs and effects on Security and Prestige. The player will always pre-pay them for a fixed period of time, and some will automatically leave after their pay-period expires. Once the player has restored the Barracks, they can hire up to 8 people to add to the Security and Prestige of your stronghold. Upgrades can be done from anywhere at any time, so long as there isn't another upgrade being done. ![]() Below is a list of all the possible upgrades for your stronghold. Security decreases the number of bad events that ill happen to your stronghold, while Prestige will increase the number of good events. These upgrades cost money and time to acheive, but each upgrade somehow open up new possibilites for your stronghold through either adding new events or increasing the money you get from taxes. When the player first gets their stronghold, they must upgrade it in order to make it habitable and a place where people will want to visit. ![]()
